Cigale Literary Magazine is currently open to submissions.  We currently accept short short stories and short stories.

Literature is the centuries-long process of mining the human condition, plunging deeper and deeper into the recesses of ourselves. Each work should be a further step in this journey, an attempt to illuminate another corner of life.
Submissions are not limited to any specific genre as great literature can transcend these categories.  Simultaneous submissions are accepted but please let us know if the work appears in another published form.

It is greatly appreciated if you attach the work as a .doc file.  I biography is also greatly appreciated.

Guidelines:

- Short Short Stories  -  Max of 1,000 words
- Short Stories  -  Max of 6,000

It is okay if the piece goes over the word count by a few words.  Sometimes making the work shorter to fit the word count can detract from the work.  Please try to stay close to the guidelines though.

- We ask for first rights and archival rights.  Copyright remains with the author.
